From the last episode of The Fastlane 2K Challenge…
The Fastlane 2K challenge ended 26th June. I had waited for an overall conclusion from the forum moderator that hosted the challenge but since it’s been quite a while and we have not heard from him, I am going to go ahead and post my own summary here.
This post sums up my efforts and results throughout the Fastlane 2K Challenge which ran for 30 days, participated by over 20 challengers at The Fastlane Forum. You can see the full thread record here.
The WSO
After having an unexpected windfall of $2,000.00 from a copywriting gig, my next plan was to do a Warrior Special Offer.
My initial idea was to use Digiresults.com to accept payments and recruit affiliates. This was because I had to keep within the $50 budget, of which I had to already set aside $40 for the listing in the forum.
But with my balance now at $2,050.00 I have more options – the obvious one being using the WSOPro.
WSOPro vs Digiresults
For a single fee of $19, I can accept payments on the Warrior Forum for this special offer and also recruit affiliates via WSOPro.
While Digiresults allows me to open a free account with them, they charge a small fee i.e. $1 for every sale I generate. So if I make 300 sales, I would pay $300 in fees alone!
But with WSO Pro, I pay only a flat fee of $19 and I keep the rest of the sales.
The Offer – Product Creation
The challenge elapsed more than half the round so even with more than ample cash in hand to outsource, time wasn’t on my side. Also, I had always wanted to release a book on email marketing – based on MY OWN TESTINGS, that is.
So I spent a day writing a 32 page book accompanied by presentation slides. I hurried to prep the offer on the forum the following day, and recorded my presentation videos to be uploaded on YouTube.
This was when I paid the $50 (for listing) and $19 (for WSOPro). And when the offer went live, I recruited some of my trusted affiliates to promote the offer.
Oh, and another benefit of using WSO Pro: it already has a database of affiliates, usually members of the forum itself, lurking the marketplace and looking for offers to promote. Mine was in the list after approval so in a real essence, I was able to get affiliates passively!
The offer was priced a $10 per copy – yes, really low ticket. However I was interested in capturing more leads and the Warrior Forum’s traffic is capable of generating high volume buyers. That, I am absolutely confident.
(On a separate note, I also took this opportunity to test my ‘hatchling’ membership site as a One-Time Offer. Its profits and performance are not recorded into this challenge in the interest of keeping things simple. But I will discuss this in another post… I am totally excited about sharing this!)
This was heck of a last minute, I launched the WSO just 3 days before the challenge ended!
My WSO continued to run even after the challenge was over and sales still came in. But this was the final screen capture at the end of the overall challenge:
All in all, I finished the Fastlane 2K Challenge with $4,491.00 in profit – in 30 days, beginning with $50 budget. Again, this challenge was done exclusively from the rest of my Internet Business and other sources of income.
My Observation On Other Challengers
Quite a number of them used Internet Marketing tactics, though there were others who employed creative and even unconventional methods.
Of course, there were also some people who dropped out halfway through the challenge and some lost all their $50 (I read about one losing in a gamble, LOL).
There hasn’t been an overall conclusion on the challenge’s final stand as of now. But if there is, I will update this post again.
On A Personal Note:
Got to admit: I didn’t put all my heart into the Fastlane 2K Challenge. I started 4 days later than everyne else and I didn’t work on this all the time.
However it was for a greater reason: my focus for most of the month was my first ‘hatchling’ monthly membership site. Thus the Fastlane 2K Challenge was something I did at the side to keep my fire up consistently.
Going back to the roots of why I started this blog, I aspire to create businesses that ultimately generate a six figure monthly income PASSIVELY. Since last month, things skyrocketed and my direction becomes clearer with every passing day.
As the Fastlane 2K Challenge is already done with, I shall move on with the bigger scheme of things.
